The factory

SPORA Shiitake Factory is located in Kalugerovo, 75km east of Sofia (Capital of Bulgaria). The factory introduces advanced technology for shiitake production, originally coming from Japan and China. Due to the highly advanced environment-control equipment in our fully supplied inoculation and incubation rooms, we can ensure around the year, non-stop delivery of fresh shiitake to our clients.

The Laboratory

SPORA Mycelia Lab is a unique facility and the first one of its kind situated in Bulgaria, which focuses on mycelia reproduction of cultivated exotic mushrooms. It is equipped with a full set of up-to-date instruments, which allows our certified technicians to develop strains, used in the reproduction of mycelia and spawn.

Technical Support

The core members of our technical team have more than 12 years of experience in the exotic mushroom cultivation field, especially in the production of shiitake. The technicians are coming from China, the largest shiitake export country and have been gaining knowledge and experience directly from the source. We also introduce indoor cultivation technology which is widely practiced in Japan.
